Khorosan Wheat's Benefits

Khorasan wheat (Kamut) is an ancient grain with widely acclaimed beneficial effects on human health, and recently, a study is making strides documenting its benefits.
Kamut products have been associated with lowering total cholesterol and LDL (bad cholesterol) 7.8% as well as blood sugar levels. Khorasan wheat also lowered circulating levels of key pro-inflammatory cytokines. The study's results on oxidative stress were reduced by around 20%. Moreover, the grain itself is very high in its protein content. It also contains a high mineral concentration especially in selenium, zinc, potassium and magnesium.
Even though this wheat variety contains gluten, it has been found to be more easily digestible by people who may have slight allergic tendencies. However, for people with Celiac disease Kamut, as all other wheat products, is not advised to consume.
