Tips to control high blood pressure

Here are five tips to help you lower your blood pressure.

- If you're overweight, lose some weight
- Eat a healthy diet adding more fruits and vegetables, but skipping the salt.
- Move! Regular exercise can lower your blood pressure and... help you lose a few pounds.
- Say NO to unhealthy lifestyle choices, like smoking and drinking alcohol.
- Consider trying a coenzyme Q10 supplement! Researchers found that it can reduce blood pressure by up to 17 mmhg over 10 mmhg. The antioxidant, required for energy production, dilates blood vessels. Ask your doctor about taking a 60 to 100 mg supplement up to 3 times a day.

Remember that high blood pressure increases a person's risk for heart attack, stroke, kidney disease and congestive heart failure, so make some lifestyle changes towards better health!
